Book review

"Even though we may look different or come from different places, we are all part of one race. The human race. In this beautiful world, we live in, we are all one."

Yummy, the title reminds me of the honey cake.πŸ˜‹πŸ°
OK, let's first talk what the book is about before heading to baking.
The story starts with Nala, a 6yo, who comes to visit her grandparents. Her grandmother always calls her grandchildren "honeycake".

When Nala asks her why she does this, the grandmother tells her about the cultural diversity of the family. She links honeycakes with the members of the family. She does this while baking a honey cake with Nala.

The story is as sweet and short as the title sounds giving a strong message of "Unity in Diversity".
The book has everything a children's book should have. It has colourful illustrations, it's cosy and sugar-coated  (that won't raise your sugar levelsπŸ˜„) and a life's lesson.

My favourite part of the whole book was the honey cake recipe (I'm extremely foodieπŸ˜‰) that the author has given at the end.

This book is the first instalment in the Honeycake series of such lovely tales. The next books are:
All in all, this is a children's book (aged 3 to 6) despite that you can pick this book if you want to read something heartwarming, simple and short. Or you can pick this up just to get the recipe for the honey cake. Who cares.😁

Now, excuse me while I'm going to try the recipe of honey cake. Till then,

Happy Reading and Happy Baking
