book review

Thanks a lot to the Author for providing me with a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. So, here's my review for this book.

The book is a self-help read that guides you through the process of attaining Longevity. It is mainly centered around the life of Hunzakuts, an ancient tribe who lived in the Karakoram Mountains during the 4th century BCE. It decrypts the code behind their disease-free and long life. And how we can adapt to their lifestyle in the current world.

The book describes the way of life Hunzakuts lived and how we can adapt to their food habits and lifestyle to live a long, strong and healthy life. Some major takeaways from this book include: how to regulate pH imbalances in our body, how to supplement key vitamins and minerals, which salt best suits our body, which type of water is good for us, and many more. There's one important topic that requires to be mentioned apart from others because this is an important aspect, i.e., what is more beneficial, a diet including animal products or a vegan diet. the author has come up with a solution called the Seagan diet.

It also answers some of the FAQs like Which protein is best?, Which is better, milk or cheese, and many more like this.

It's incredible to know how well research is done by the author about the topic as he's not a professional in this field. In the prologue he writes, how certain unfortunate incidents with his closed ones induced him to carry out a study in Longevity. His own experiences with all the experiments that he did with his body, makes it more authentic and pragmatic. The book is comprehensible despite giving you a lot of medical knowledge as the medical terms are very basic and easy to understand.

It challenges some of the prominent studies by well known scientists. The author does not disagree with them, but questions some of the most trusted medical treatments. There were also some shocking and mind blowing facts unveiled in this book. Here's an example of this:

"Humans should have a lifespan of 150 years."

There are several codebreakers between each chapter which helps you understand how to start implementing these habits in your life. Not only physically but the book guides you through how to have a healthy mind which is towards the end. because, of course, if our mind is unfit no matter how much we try we'll never be able to lead a healthy life. The book also provides you with a Nutrition Checklist and a Nutrition Plan towards the end which provides you with everyday ways to conform these changes.

All in all, I think this book is very underrated and everyone who wants to be more happy, more productive and more healthy, should definitely give it a go. It's short as well, so you can easily squeeze it in your TBR. It has a lot of takeaways that you may not forget you whole life. It helps us understand our body better and getting to know about your own self gives you pleasure. I wish these things were included in our school curriculum, then science would have been so much more interesting.
